Professional Polyester canvas: Masterart Professional canvases are made from our Masterart Heavy Duty 32 mm deep stretcher bars and hand stretched 350 gsm 100% polyester canvas. Polyester has some unique characteristics that suit some styles more than others. Polyester has no moisture takeup and is less likely to expand and contract due to changes in humidity makeing it more durable than either cotton or linen.
Polyester has a consistent fine, even weave that is suited to applications where the artists wanta a smooth finish without having to apply multiple coats of gesso.
Professional SE45 canvas: Masterart SE45 canvases are made from our Masterart Heavy Duty 40 mm deep by 60 mm wide laminated stretcher bars and hand stretched 350 gsm cotton / polester blend canvas. SE45 canvases are ideal for very large format works due to their strength.
Professional SE65 canvas: Masterart SE65 canvases are made from our Laminated Masterart 65 mm deep stretcher bars and hand stretched 350 gsm cotton / polester blend canvas.Utilised for a strong 3D effect, Masterart SE65 canvases are extreemly strong as they utilise a 65 mm deep by 60 mm wide stretcher bar. All large format canvases also include corner gussetts for additional stability.
