Purity Artists acrylics is the result of a project started by Masterart ltd in early 2009. (Masterart is a sister company of Tanji's Art Supplies). Born out of an understanding that artist grade acrylics are far to expensive in New Zealand, and a desire to provide full artists acrylics to artists at prices more representative of their manufactured cost.
Tanji's Art Supplies believes that the best method of keeping down the costs of artist materials is direct-to-market distribution straight from the factory to the end user. By supplying directly, Tanji's Art supplies are able to eliminate the normal costs and margins associated with a normal manufacturer - wholesaler - retailer supply chain.
Masterart is the the only acrylic and canvas manufacturer that can offer a comprehensive range of acrylic paints, gesso, and mediums at prices often half that of normal fine arts retailers
